  The gap between an over-draft check and the email notification of three days is too long. If the fee is applied instantly, the email notification should also be sent out immediately. This would forestall $30.00 fees being charged for even small over drafts of $7.00 and if several automatic check payments are made the fees can add up at an alarming rate.

  Fees that are worse then the banks in town and the WORST customer service I have ever expierienced at a Credit Union. Its almost like they are made to work there and they cant leave, IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB SO MUCH THEN LEAVE!!!

  If you're looking for a good local credit union, Blue Ox is pretty darn good. Been a member since I was a kid and they're a great community resource. My only gripe is that its shared branch network is pretty small so if you need to cash checks outside southwest Michigan (say for instance if you're a student at MSU/CMU/UM), you're out of luck. This could be easily solved by improving the mobile app, but I'm still a fan.

  My credit Union merged with Blue Ox recently and I've had all bad experiences. I had been with my credit union before for the last 15 years. They were helpful and friendly and I kept them around because I loved working with them. This place is completely different. I left a contact me email for them. The next day I left a voicemail to call me back and still no response. I have to keep calling them. Then you get some unhelpful person on the phone. You'd think that a new customer would treated better. Especially when all of the change happened without them having a choice. Instead They wouldn't reverse an overdraft fee (something I was unaware had switched with the new account- they could have just pulled from the savings account like the other place did)... Sigh. Nope, I would have to fill out more paperwork and still get a fee each time. After all this place has put me through this last month with fees, and added paperwork and re doing everything and then the password failing multiple times on their website... it's not worth it. I will be switching to a different bank in the near future.

  I love blue ox! Their staff are wonderful. However they updated their phone system, and it SUCKS! I am from coldwater I will dial the number for coldwater and I can possibly get someone in Albion or hillsdale. I don't like dealing with them, people at my bank know me. I prefer dealing with the coldwater people and since it is my money that should be an option. More often then not when I call no one answers. Other then that they are wonderful
